Gunkajima is more than music...It is more than the found sounds and atmospheres that create the fluid and truly LIVING sum of this incredibly inspired work. There is an abstract play being written here, and you as the listener are the sole actor. When you press play (hopefully alone in the dark, wearing headphones), you are hurled helplessly into an opressive void. Only when you wash up on shore, does the real story begin. Are you alone? You don't think so. The narrative work of this breathing environment is impressive. With no human dialogue, and no clearly defined "plot", Milieu has crafted a work that will redefine how you approach ambient/drone music. An instant classic, for fans of the genre.

Nice
I agree. This is dark stuff at its finest. I like every track and especially the real dark ending and beginning of track 2 and 3. Track 1 is immense, and delivers an enticing listen as well. And the rest is up to par, maybe a wee bit lighter in soundscapes. Overall, a great release.

Gut?
